Our History The Haller Agency began its humble beginnings in 1938 on the corner of Forest and Catalpa Avenues in Ridgewood, New York. Founder Peter J. Haller began his career in the insurance and real estate business. He established success by selling homes in the neighborhood and would go on to insure them for years to come. The Agency blossomed with the addition of Nicholas A. Haller Jr. in 1959 and the purchase of the Emil Koch and Dorothy Humphries agencies in 1960. Fourteen years later, in 1974, the agency relocated. They moved to the corner of Hillside and Concord Avenues in Williston Park, where it remains today. Raymond Haller joined his accomplished father Nicholas A.Haller at the agency in 1987. In 1994, Raymond furthered his success by purchasing JF Helmus & Co. of Garden City which was organized in 1929. In 1958, J F Helmus purchased the prominent S. A. Coykendall & Co., which was formed in 1872. We are proud to say we have maintained most of these acquired accounts during the many years we have been in business. In fact, we are still providing service to the children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren of our clients. In an attempt to attain even greater success, Raymond partnered with good friend, Kevin Zaremba from Wantagh, Long Island. His knowledge and expertise in the area of customer service brought the agency to new heights servicing their clients. The soon to be highly successful Haller-Zaremba & Co Inc. is now servicing satisfied clients from Manhattan to Montauk. They quickly acquired Patrick Hill Agency and shortly thereafter The Goldenstar Agency and the business of Dorothy and Richard Klimusko. Proving that success has immeasurable heights, the Haller-Zaremba & Co. Inc went on to purchase the insurance business of the prominent law firm Hahn, Hahn & Ford in 2003. Most recently, the semi-retired Carl Moschella, after 35 years, has left his insureds in the competent hands of Haller-Zaremba & Co. Inc. Recently, Robert and Arthur Heubner of The Heubner Agency, Inc. have merged their business with Haller-Zaremba & Co. Inc. They will continue with giving personal and professional service that has been the trademark of the Heubner Agency since 1914.
